The front part of the watch is usually made of glass or plastic. This is called the watch crystal. Watch crystals can break or crack from impact or perhaps dropping the watch on a hard service. Most crystals are available to replace as original.

A very good option is to replace the broken or scratched watch crystal with an upgraded sapphire crystal. The sapphire watch crystals are considerably stronger than the mineral glass crystals and are virtually scratch resistant.

Also, Naturally not all crystals are round or square. Although most watch crystals are readily available for replacement there are many watches that simply can not be supplied with a new crystal due to it's odd shape, size or age. For this reason, unlike many other watch repair facilities, I make my own crystals here in my shop when necessary. 99% of crystals sent to me can be replaced or specially handmade with a new one.

Many customers are unaware that if you have taken your watch to another repair facility for a new crystal, especially if your watch has been taken to a jewelry store for a new crystal, there is a very good chance the watch has been  sent to me, or to another facility for the repair.

Most people do not know that when they take their watch to a jewelry store for repair there is a 85% chance that watch does not stay in the store. Your watch repair will be sent out to me or another repair facility.
